Sacred Space, Sacred Conduct
This is a place of healing, not harm. Please read before you enter the confessional.
Karma Confessions exists because every soul carries weight — and because putting that weight into words, witnessed by others without judgement, is one of the oldest and most powerful acts of healing known to humanity.
This space works only if it remains safe, honest, and compassionate. These guidelines are not rules imposed from above — they are the natural laws of a community built on trust. We ask you to honour them not because we tell you to, but because you understand why they matter.
What you bring here, bring with sincerity. What you send here, send with kindness.
Karma Confessions draws from the wisdom of many traditions — the Catholic confessional, the Buddhist practice of acknowledging unskillful action, the Hindu understanding of karma as cause and effect, the universal human need to be witnessed without shame.
We are not a court. We are not a therapy service. We are not a place to settle scores or perform for an audience. We are a candlelit room where real people set down real burdens — and where strangers offer them the simple gift of being heard.
Every time you send good karma to a confession, you participate in something quietly sacred. Take that seriously.
The most powerful confessions are honest, specific, and personal. They don't need to be dramatic — the smallest cruelties often carry the heaviest weight. Here's what we welcome and what we don't:
🕯️ A note on honesty: We cannot verify confessions — and we don't try to. What we ask is that you confess something real. A fabricated story takes up space that belongs to a genuine soul who needs it. The karma you receive for a false confession belongs to someone else.
Reading someone's confession is an act of witness. Sending them good karma is an act of grace. It costs you nothing except a moment of genuine compassion — and to the person who confessed, it can mean everything.
Anonymity is the foundation of this space. Without it, nothing here is possible. We ask you to honour it in both directions.
⚠️ Any confession that could constitute defamation, harassment, or a breach of another person's privacy will be rejected and may be reported to the relevant authorities if required by law.
Sometimes what sits beneath guilt is something deeper — grief, trauma, depression, or crisis. This site is a space for confession and release, but it is not a mental health service and cannot replace professional support.
If you are struggling beyond what a confession can hold, please reach out:
Confessions that suggest a person may be in immediate danger will be treated with care, and crisis resources will be added to the response.
Every confession is reviewed by a human moderator before it goes live. We are not automated. We read every word. Our goal is to protect this space — not to censor genuine human experience.
We ask one simple question of every confession: Does this belong in a sacred space? If yes, it is approved. If it harms, defames, or violates these guidelines, it is not.
Minor issues — small identifying details, a name that should be initial-only, a formatting issue. We may lightly edit and approve rather than reject outright.
Guideline violations — content that breaks our rules but isn't illegal. The payment is non-refundable in these cases, which is why we ask you to read these guidelines first.
Illegal content — anything involving minors, incitement to violence, credible threats, or content that requires us to act under UK law. No exceptions.
💛 Payment & Rejection: The $5 minimum covers moderation costs regardless of outcome. If your confession is rejected, we will tell you why (in general terms). You are welcome to revise and resubmit. We are not here to take your money — we are here to help you confess.
One of the most beautiful things a confessor can do is return. If you've made amends, found peace, or simply moved forward, the Karma Resolved category exists for your update.
These follow-up confessions are free to submit — a small gift from us to acknowledge the courage it takes to close a loop. Simply reference your original confession (no identifying details needed) and tell us how the story moved.
The community loves these. They are proof that karma really does move.
You've read the guidelines. You know the space. When you're ready, the confessional is open — always anonymous, always without judgement.
